Sidewalls should not have lumps or bulges or deep cuts. Inner cords should not be visible. The tyre should not be in such a state of disrepair or condition (e.g. cuts longer than 25mm or 10% of the tyre width) that it may cause damage to the road or is likely to be a danger.
Buses, midi-buses and mini-buses operating with a licence issued by the Department of Transport must be fitted with commercial steel radial-ply tyres, and the steerable wheels must be fitted with anti-burst stabilisers.
